Tenco è per me il più assonate al mio modo di essere. Schivo, riflessivo, provocatore, romantico, debole, stronzo, amabile, polemico ma anche rigidamente simpatico. Mi sono sempre sentito molto rappresentato dal suo personaggio e da moltissime delle sue canzoni. Qui ho trovato una specie di manifesto di tutti questi lati (per il lato “simpatico” in passato avevo già fatto una mia versione di “Ognuno è libero”). L’arrangiamento parte minimale, con tanto di accensione di sigaretta realmente fumata durante la registrazione della voce. Le strofe si susseguono con un crescendo fino alla consueta poliritmia e sovrapposizione di sintetizzatori glaciali. Caldo e freddo insieme, pulsazione e caotici fino all’esplosione finale che ribadisce la determinazione del sé. Io sono questo qui, e sono uno. Prendere o lasciare.
